In the copper wind spinners, a copper wind catcher (called a "wing") at the top of the spinner, catches the wind and turns the copper spinner. The quartz crystal ball appears to be moving up or down the copper wind spinner. At first glance, you wonder what will happen when the quartz crystal ball reaches the end of the copper spinner, but it never does! It is a true optical illusion.
